Dogs Unlimited Rescue hosts its second annual Muttsquerade Ball from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Moxie, the Restaurant, 3355 Richmond Road. Food, wine, martinis, live music and auction for $100. Raffle tickets for Florida vacations are $50; dogsunlimitedrescue.org, 330-620-0317.

The Coughlin Girls soccer Team and Plains Lions Club are sponsoring a spaghetti dinner at the Plains Township Municipal Park – Lions Pavilion today for the residents affected by the recent flooding. Salvation Army, Red Cross, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Luzerne County representatives will be on hand to assist.
