Why are people afraid to ask for money?

Answered By Editor

Asking money from people is one of the most important and difficult part of any fundraising activities. You have to consider the fact that people worked hard to earn the money you are asking them to donate in a fundraising activity. This is one of the reasons it is difficult for fundraisers to ask for money. Another reason is accountability. The people you are asking money from will expect an accounting of how their donated money was used from the fundraising event. Furthermore, people are afraid to ask for money from people directly because they fear they will only get rejected. Some fundraisers fear that asking for money from friends and associates will result in resentment and fears that they will no longer keep their association once they've asked for money.
