How do you find presidential fundraisers in your area?

Can you answer billie’s question about Fundraising?:

I live in New York City and am a supporter of Hilary Clinton. I would like to donate money to her campaign and know that I can simply give to her website, but I thought it would be more fun to go to one of her fundraisers. Does anyone know if these things are all “invite only”? I know that I can’t afford the high-end fundraisers that are $2300 a head, but there must be $500 a head events that are more in my price range. Thanks anyone for your advice!

Fundraising Feedback: I’d get on some sort of email update list or else contact your local Democratic party headquarters. I am not sure if Hillary does $500 a head fundraisers…that’s extremely low for a Presidential campaign. You’d find those at the Senate level, for example.

Fundraising Feedback: I worked for 92′ Clinton campaign. To get invited to one of those events your describing…. You need to make a sizable donation first, just to get noticed…. Then you may get invited to a fund raising dinner or party which all depends if they have room for “new money”. Usually the wealthy and famous are invited first to bring attention to the campaign…. However if selected, bring your check book. You will be expected to donate even more.
    Good luck.

Fundraising Feedback: Join her campaign online! They will send you periodic e-mails regarding upcoming events. You can also ask her campaign staff online. They should be able to tell you.

Fundraising Feedback: fWell for Hillary that is a low amount. That should tell you something about the company she keeps.

If you are a little donor then you barely get attention from her website also. U r in the masses. Think how that will be when she is in the White House.

Fundraising Feedback: Usually your county democratic party notifies those who are members. Here in my county of Travis in Texas, I am a member of the Travis County Democrats and I get notified of most fundraisers, no matter who the democratic candidate is. Hope this helps!
